Last weekend, a few of us from Le Shag rolled into the Catskills Roller Disco because what better way to kick off summer than sequins, skate wheels, and total costume level commitment?!?! Held at Skate Time in Accord, the event brought serious Studio 54 energy with a Hudson Valley groove.  Peace, love , disco and popcorn. We first stopped at Inness. We grabbed our first cocktail of the night outside in their gorgeous yard with a fire pit of our own. Then we were off to Skate Time to highlight the icons in attendance.

Max and Lundy

Disco anthems, arcade lights, lots of glitter,  is how we came upon the scene. The drinks were flowing, the DJ knew what we needed, and the crowd brought it. The event featured DJs like Anna Collecta, Laura Lynn, David Kiss, Wolf + Lamb, playing disco, house, and classic skate tracks. Attendees were encouraged to skate, dance, and celebrate. The arcade was lit and the fashion was even hotter. We came in glitter-first and quickly started taking mental notes (okay, photos) of our favorite looks. There was fringe. There were LED lights. There were matching jumpsuits. And yes, Le Shag’s own Jen Donovan helped host the Best Dressed Contest, because of course she did.We all had favorites and it’s one of those kinda parties that you never want it to end.

Good thing for after parties. Sean Nutley the gracious after party host, welcomed us all with magic. The night was perfect and this disco balls casted many optical spectacles for all our eyes to dance with. There were more drinks to be drank and a jerk chicken surprise. For those who did not snack on enough BjornQorn at the disco the heavenly rescue of some bbq or jerk chicken saved your soul, later into the evening. Highlighting some of our favored looks of the evening enjoy the rest of this blog post with a fashion show. Did you go to this event? We’d love to hear your stories from the night and keep the conversation going!
